GTI’s Mission Statement

GTI offers expert technical sales to the public and private sectors by representing manufacturers of instrumentation devices, equipment and programs in the mid-Atlantic region.  Customer requirements are matched with the manufacturer's products for the user’s needs. GTI is committed to its customers benefiting from on-going relationships and enabling our principals to identify long-term industry needs and trends while maintaining their markets’ leadership positions.  

Nelson Gardner founded GTI in 2000 and is President of the company.  He has account responsibilities in our southeast sector.   For the first 15 years of his career, Nelson worked in commercial and military instrumentation as a design engineer and a project/engineering manager.  Before founding GTI, he had 13 years of manufacturer’s rep sales experience in the mid-Atlantic region.  Nelson earned his B.S. in electrical engineering with honors from the University of Maryland.

Tom Tantalla joined GTI in 2011 and is currently serving as Vice-President of the company with account responsibilities in our northwest sector.  He has over 20 years of sales experience in the industrial automation industry.  Tom graduated with a B.S. in business administration and an Associate Degree in electronics.    


Charlie Pugh currently serves as a Senior Sales Consultant.  He joined GTI in 2003 as a Sales Associate.  Charlie has over 35 years of technical sales experience in the mid-Atlantic region.  
He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a BES degree in Electrical Engineering.
